This is perfectly decent romance. The series as a whole looks interesting and I might go back to it if my TBR list ever gives me some space. I chose this passage because it simply paints a picture greater than the sum of its words. I am not certain the rest of the novel lives up to this prose, but this definitely hooked me into the story.
