Going back home hasn’t been fun for Dykstman since he’s always reminded of his lost love. Maybe this time, things will be different…
Michael Dykstman has been a playboy for years while living out his professional hockey dream. Wild and crazy nights were his way of coping with losing the love of his life. Going home for any period of time hasn’t been fun since it always opened that old wound. He came home to help out with a cancer fundraiser for his best friend’s son. He wasn’t going to bail out of the fundraiser despite having to work with her again. Hell, he still wanted to rekindle things with her again if he was given half a chance.
Tiff remained in Butler living out her dream of owning a coffee shop. Things were just fine until she had to work with Dykstman again on a fundraiser. She was reminded of the guy she fell in love with so long ago. She couldn’t help but wonder if they could come to an understanding again.
Curl up with Rebounding Hope where the playboy finds his second chance.

Chasing Love (Loving the Sound Book 6)
August 2021 I get a thousand emails a day. No joke or exaggeration. Firstly, it is my daily addiction tickling list of free ebooks ( I promise, I intend to read all of them if it takes me twenty years after I am dead to do it). Next, it is news from Goodreads, Bookbub, and…

Michael Dykstman has been an interesting if somewhat impenetrable character throughout the Loving The Sound series. He is a solid on-ice player with an off the ice scoring streak that impresses even his fellow players (pun intended). Rebounding Hope is his story. After years of using sex to purge the memory of the hometown girl that got away, he finds himself back home for a charity event. Avoiding her is not an option. He knows Tiff would rather not have anything to do with him after he left her for a career in hockey, but he is more than willing to give it one more try.

This is a sweet second chance romance. Dykst and Tiff complement each other well and everyone seems to be secretly rooting for them to work things out, including the reader. This isn’t the typical hockey break-up make-up story, it has a bit of an edge. Kat Obie isn’t afraid to add a touch of real life to her romance and it is better for it. While this off-season tale doesn’t offer the usual amount of ice action, Corey CC Corso makes an appearance, proving once again that while he is a perpetual man-child prankster, he is far more perceptive than he lets on. The story’s focus, young Timmy, who is fighting a second time against Leukemia, is the perfect foil, reminding everyone that time is precious and second chances are rare. All in all, this is a great addition to The Sound’s ongoing story.
