A Sneak Peek at a Your Way Today Blog Post
by Sarah E. Burr
Hi, everyone! Celebrity lifestyle blogger Coco Cline, here.
When I’m not busy consulting with my clients, hanging out with my studdly boyfriend and my fabulous besties, I’m usually working on whipping up a post for my lifestyle blog Your Way Today. I’ve been the content creator of Your Way Today for over five years now. Every Saturday, I share with my followers anything from fashion news, beauty tricks, home décor suggestions, to entertainment gossip. Your Way Today really captures it all…except maybe recipes. I’m a bit of a wild card in the kitchen. I tend to burn things more than bake them. But sometimes I do regale my readers with one of my #FlawlessFails, all while providing them with a recipe that they can try at their own risk. LOL
For my guest post, I wanted to share a sneak peek at an upcoming Your Way Today blog post. I hope it provides some helpful insight about how you can really switch up your home décor without much effort at all! Enjoy!
Hey, there, readers! I just love a change of season, don’t you? The new colors that greet us all in the morning…I always find that a new season makes me take stock of my life. What goals have I accomplished? What am I working toward? It also makes me take stock of my home décor. You know me, readers. Coco Cline loves a good excuse to redecorate! But my tips in this week’s post won’t break your budget. For me, revitalizing home décor can be as simple as changing the aroma of your living space. That’s right, you don’t have to throw out your couch pillows or roll up your throw rug. Seasons bring a change of scene, and with those scenes, come new scents to enjoy.
As a devoted reader of Your Way Today, you’ve come to know my favorite scents over the years. I love vanilla, lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, honey, bergamot…the list goes on. But one amazing thing about my favorite scents is that they can be easily repurposed into creating your home into a soothing oasis. Using products containing essential oils, or even just the oils themselves, you can really enhance the feel of your home as well as imbibe a sense of tranquility about it.
The easiest way to do this? Get yourself a diffuser. I cannot live without mine. Every time I step into my office—another space I want to feel at peace in—I fire up my little diffuser. If I need inspiration, I lean toward citrus scents like orange or lemongrass. If I need to relax and unwind before diving into to a big presentation or post, I add a few drops of lavender or patchouli. Those simple aromas can help reframe your headspace and get your mental state where you need it to be in no time! My favorite brand of essential oils to use is Aura Cacia. Pure oils for such reasonable prices.
If you want to change more than just the aroma of your living space this season, you can never go wrong with essential oil-infused candles. Not only do they bring amazing scents into your life, but these days, candles are becoming more and more decorative. I have several candles I’ve never even used, but I have them on display because their containers are so stunning. Candles used to be a dreaded, last-minute gift exchange present. Now, they’ve become statement pieces. Sand & Fog and DW Home Candles are two brands that are really embracing the idea that candles can be art. What’s even better, these are brands you’re guaranteed to find at your local T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods, Marshalls…you name it.
With the change of season, don’t stress on totally redecorating if you don’t have the time or budget. Simple tweaks to your living space, like I mentioned above, will have you embracing the new season and feeling at peace in your home.
Comment below with questions! I’d love to hear from you all what your go-to scents are. And don’t forget to tag any pics of these simple home décor updates with the hashtags #YourWayToday and #CourtesyofCoco.
Arms around,
